STREET-WORKOUT-PARK

Training with your own body weight and in the open air - this is now available in the new ProKids Street Workout Park possible on the shore of the Vorderen See in Schwenningen. The plant was on May 22nd by Guido Wolf, Minister for Justice and European Affairs in Baden-Württemberg, Lord Mayor Jürgen Roth, Joachim Spitz, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the ProKids Foundation, and Siegfried Gänsler, Chairman of the Board of the Schwenninger Krankenkasse, and by Pastor Michael Schumacher from dedicated to the Catholic St. Francis parish.

"The street workout park is intended to offer a contact point for young people and young adults in Schwenningen in particular," says initiator Joachim Spitz. There are still too few places to stay for them in the city area. "We want to ensure that young people come into more contact with each other and do sports," says Spitz. Particular attention was paid to accessibility. "Everyone should be able to use the facility and train according to their abilities," emphasizes Spitz. For these reasons, the Schwenninger health insurance company supports the construction of the street workout park as the main sponsor.

The total cost of the street workout park is around 75,000 euros. They are supported by the ProKids Foundation, as well as numerous sponsors and advertising partners. These include the Schwenninger health insurance company, its “Die Gesundarbeiter” foundation, BW Bank, wildigarten gardening and landscaping, Orca Zerspanungstechnik GmbH, the Physioteam Reisich & Neumann, the Villingen-Schwenningen housing association, Spitzdruck GmbH and the Lions Club Donau- Neckar. More supporters are welcome.

The project was implemented in close cooperation with the Office for Youth, Education, Integration and Sport (JuBis) and the Parks Office. The city bears the running costs for maintenance, care and insurance.
