CLOTHES ROOM

FOR KIDS ONLY

The demand for used children's clothing is high. In a space of about 20 square meters, spread across two rooms, sweaters, T-shirts, and trousers are stacked on shelves; jackets, shirts, and suits hang on clothing racks. The selection is diverse, and that's how it's intended to stay. Therefore, the clothes that simply aren't being taken are replaced approximately every six weeks. These items are then donated to the German Red Cross's used clothing collection.

Petra Armbruster and Olga Falkenberg are primarily responsible for the clothing bank. The two women sort the donated textiles, put them away, and keep the room tidy.

You can browse, try on, and take the clothes home for free on Wednesdays and Fridays between 3 pm and 6 pm. The clothing bank is located at Oupper floor of the asylum seekers' home on Alleenstraße, directly opposite the spectrum.

Anyone wishing to donate clean and well-preserved children's clothing can do so daily from 2:30 pm at Spektrum.
