According to Section 50 Paragraph 2 Sentence 1 No. 2 of the Income Tax Implementing Ordinance (EStDV), simplified proof of donation is possible for donations up to €300.00; i.e., a data carrier (deposit slip/bank statement) on which the amount and recipient (foundation) are clearly identifiable and assignable is sufficient as proof; a proper donation receipt is then not necessary.
