"The street workout park is intended to provide a meeting place, especially for teenagers and young adults in Schwenningen," says initiator Joachim Spitz. He explains that there are still too few places for them to hang out in the city. "We want to encourage young people to connect with each other and exercise," Spitz says. Particular attention was paid to accessibility. "Everyone should be able to use the facility and train according to their abilities," Spitz emphasizes. For these reasons, the Schwenningen health insurance company is supporting the construction of the street workout park as the main sponsor.

The total cost of the street workout park amounts to approximately €75,000. This is being covered by the ProKids Foundation, as well as numerous sponsors and advertising partners. These include the Schwenninger Health Insurance Fund, its foundation "Die Gesundarbeiter" (The Healthy Workers), BW Bank, wildigarten Garten- und Landschaftsbau (wildigarten Garden and Landscape Construction), Orca Zerspanungstechnik GmbH (Orca Machining Technology GmbH), the physiotherapy team Reisich & Neumann, the Villingen-Schwenningen Housing Association, Spitzdruck GmbH (Spitz Printing GmbH), and the Lions Club Donau-Neckar. Further supporters are welcome.

The project was implemented in close cooperation with the Office for Youth, Education, Integration and Sport (JuBis) and the Parks and Green Spaces Department. The city covers the ongoing costs for maintenance, upkeep, and insurance.
