"The Street Workout Park is intended to provide a meeting place, especially for teenagers and young adults in Schwenningen," says initiator Joachim Spitz. He believes there are still too few recreational opportunities for them in the city. "We want young people to come into contact with each other more and engage in sports," says Spitz. Particular attention was paid to accessibility. "Everyone should be able to use the facility and train according to their abilities," emphasizes Spitz. For these reasons, the Schwenningen Health Insurance Company is supporting the construction of the Street Workout Park as the main sponsor.
The total cost of the street workout park is approximately €75,000. It is being funded by the ProKids Foundation, as well as numerous sponsors and advertising partners. These include the Schwenningen Health Insurance Company, its "Die Gesundarbeiter" foundation, BW Bank, wildigarten Garden and Landscape Construction, Orca Zerspanungstechnik GmbH, Physioteam Reisich & Neumann, the Villingen-Schwenningen Housing Association, Spitzdruck GmbH, and the Donau-Neckar Lions Club. Additional supporters are welcome.
